The 30th edition of the International Conference on Passive Low Energy Architecture (PLEA) was held in Ahmedabad, India, from 16th to 18th November 2014. On this occasion, the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) presented four articles concerning research on the integration of sustainability criteria into the design process.
PLEA is an organization engaged in a worldwide discourse on sustainable architecture and urban design through international conferences, workshops and publications. It has a membership of several thousand professionals, academics and students from over 40 countries.
Since 1982, PLEA organizes an annual international conference across the globe. Entitled "Sustainable habitat for developing countries", this edition was organized by the Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy (CARBSE) of the CEPT University in Ahmedabad. Prof. Emmanuel Rey figured amongst the members of the International Scientific Committee.
Moreover, the LAST presented four articles based on several ongoing research and dealing with the integration of sustainability criteria at the building and neighborhood scale :
