MGAC has been retained by American Greetings Corporation, the $2 billion creator and manufacturer of innovative social expression products, as Owner's Representative and Project Manager for the construction of the company's new world headquarters. The American Greetings Creative Studios will be located at the Crocker Park development in Westlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.
Designed by RTKL, the Creative Studios is properly sized to fit the company's needs, matches its creative culture and fosters associate collaboration. The building will contain 600,000 SF of office space as well as 60,000 SF of retail on the first floor. It will be enhanced with a five-story parking structure, linked to American Greetings offices by a glass, enclosed bridge.
The Creative Studios will feature multiple high-touch client areas, where American Greetings customers can make regular visits for creative work sessions, multi-media presentations and meetings. The headquarters will also have customized landmark features as well as appealing neighborhood and artwork displays, all in an effort to create an inviting and attractive new home for American Greetings' employees.
Drawing from its national team of professionals in the Washington, DC and Los Angeles offices, MGAC is managing all aspects of the project and the project team members to ensure the successful delivery of the American Greetings Creative Studios. MGAC is providing Cost and Risk Management services, Furniture, Audio-Visual and Security Systems Procurement, as well as Move Management services to American Greetings which will relocate over 1,500 associates from Brooklyn, Ohio to the new headquarters. Construction is scheduled to begin September 2014 with headquarters occupancy scheduled for summer 2016.
