Parmenter Realty Partners today announces that three more of its buildings have recently earned LEED™ Gold Certification for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance. Brookhollow Central II and III in Houston, Texas, earned the certification in November/December 2013, and Buckhead Tower at Lenox Square in Atlanta, Georgia earned the certification in January 2014. All three buildings are owned and managed by Parmenter Realty Partners.
“The award of LEED Gold certification at our three properties demonstrates Parmenter’s dedication to providing value to our tenants by delivering more efficient and cost effective services and supporting our desire to be responsible global citizens,” said Steve Harrison, Managing Director Facilities and Sustainability at Parmenter Realty Partners. “During this process we have identified opportunities that support our commitment to high performance building operations, and will continue to look for ways to expand our sustainability efforts as well as pursuing LEED certifications at our other buildings.”
Elements of the LEED Gold certifications include improved operations and tenant comfort through implementation of a comprehensive re-commissioning program for the building operations, HVAC equipment and lighting, to identify opportunities to optimize their performance; and direction of the janitorial services vendor’s operation to deliver environmentally friendly cleaning services.
“With each additional LEED certification, we get one step closer to meeting our goal of having all of our buildings LEED certified,” said Andrew Weiss, Managing Principal & Chief Operating Officer at Parmenter Realty Partners. “We have ongoing training programs to educate and raise environmental awareness among our employees and the tenants we serve, and to have earned LEED Gold at these three buildings is a testament to our strong commitment to sustainable building practices.”
The achievement of these three LEED Gold awards brings the total of LEED certified properties owned and managed by Parmenter Realty Partners to 12, representing over 4.6 million square feet.
