Trex Captures Three First-Place Rankings in Builder Magazine's Annual Brand Use Study

Trex Company, the world's largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing, has once again captured three first-place rankings in Builder magazine's annual Brand Use Study, ranked by thousands of builders and contractors.

Proving its unparalleled brand prominence among trade professionals, Trex® was named number one in "brand familiarity," "brand used the most" and "brand used in the past two years" for the composite/PVC decking category. Trex has earned top rankings in these three major brand performance areas for seven consecutive years. In addition, Trex earned high marks for "quality" and continued to gain share in this performance area.

"These rankings reinforce Trex's position as a brand leader, and are particularly meaningful as we head into the 2014 outdoor living season," said Ronald W. Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex. "In the coming year, we look forward to providing our trade partners with an even higher level of commitment to quality materials as we complete our transition to solely producing high-performance products. We truly value the trust and confidence that these contractors and builders place in our brand and products and are extremely proud to be their brand of choice."

The 2014 Brand Use Study conducted by Hanley Wood Publishing and Readex Research, an independent research company, surveyed 10,800 readers of Builder magazine on materials across 70 product categories. The full study will be published in the February 2014 issue of Builder.
