Menck USA has finalized details to begin production of advanced, energy-efficient windows in 75,000 of leased space at 77 Champion Drive in Chicopee, MA. The new manufacturing facility will make high-end windows to meet the increasing demand by architects and developers for energy-efficient building projects.
“We recognized that the need for competitively-priced and highly-engineered windows will continue to grow,” said Todd Bachelder, president and chief executive officer for Menck USA.
Developed in partnership with Menck-Fenster of Hamburg, Germany, the new plant will use state-of-the-art CNC equipment and the exacting specifications used at Menck-Fenster’s production facility in Scherwin, Germany. “Europeans have been on the forefront of high-efficiency windows for well over a decade,” Bachelder said.
Constructed of all wood or wood and metal cladding, tilt and turn windows will represent a key part of the Menck Windows product range. In addition to Bachelder, Menck USA will be managed by an executive and production team with decades of high-end window experience in the U.S. The new plant is scheduled to be in operation in the fall of 2104. Until full production, the company will produce windows, doors and window walls for builders and architects with its German partner, Menck-Fenster.
