Parmenter Realty Partners is proud to announce that its Fifth Third Center asset has been named one of the top 3 energy saving buildings in the “Over 500,000 SF” category for the Building Recognition Program, Smart Energy Now®, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Third Fifth Center is a Class A+, 697,821 SF, office building located on 201 N. Tryon Street in Charlotte, NC. The building uses sophisticated Energy Management Systems that manage the buildings’ HVAC systems, lighting and other areas that consume energy. “Our building engineers are trained to ensure that our systems are constantly operating at peak performance and only when necessary therefore reducing unnecessary use of electricity,” said Steve Harrison, Managing Director Sustainability at Parmenter Realty Partners.
Fifth Third Center is LEED® Silver Certified for Existing Building Operations and Maintenance and ENERGY STAR® certified. “Our goal is to operate buildings that provide a healthy environment for our tenants and visitors, while at the same time reducing the impact our buildings have on energy consumption, water use and waste generated. Smart Energy Now is a program from Duke Energy® dedicated to helping reduce energy consumption in Charlotte's Uptown office buildings, with a focused on educating office workers in Uptown about small, simple changes they can make to their daily routine that together have a huge impact on Charlotte's energy usage.
