Chance Partners, one of the nation's foremost developers of luxury student housing communities, is the proud, recent recipient of a prestigious Student Housing Business Innovator Award for "Best New Development – Boutique".
The award was bestowed upon Chance for its Boulevard Lofts community, located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama during SHB's annual Interface Conference awards show.
The Innovator Awards recognize the most original and successful student housing owners, contractors, marketers and managers in the country.
This year's Innovator award represents the third consecutive year that Chance Partners has been acknowledged for their best-in-class work. "Its an honor to be recognized for the communities that we've developed over the past few years", said Judd Bobilin , President & CEO of Chance Partners. "To win four Innovator Awards in three years is not only evidence of the hard work we do and the great team we have at Chance Partners, but it's a testament to our business strategy and core conviction of changing the world one building at a time", Bobilin added.
Offering students unparalleled features and finishes, coupled with a location beyond compare, this year's Innovator Award reinforces Chance's model for creating what is generally considered the most desirable student housing communities in its market. "Students want to live in great communities near campus -- and with very few large parcels of land available within walking distance to most campuses, our urban infill model allows us to offer students a class-A type product while still building an institutional sized portfolio," said Bobilin.
Noted for its creative re-use of land, integration of architecture from the surrounding neighborhood and its appeal that fits student demand, Boulevard Lofts represents Tuscaloosa's first new, luxury, downtown student housing community of its kind. "We did our due diligence like no other", said Bobilin, "and were able to realize a great success with Boulevard Lofts. So much so, that we're building upon that success with our third downtown Tuscaloosa community in less than a year – Green Bear – delivering in fall 2013. Demand has been overwhelming and we're excited to continue to change the downtown Tuscaloosa streetscape and help create value in one of America's greatest southern college towns."
With finishes typically reserved for high-end, single family residences, residences at Boulevard Lofts features hardwood-style flooring, imported granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, designer fixtures and contemporary lighting. Additionally, all residences at the community offer expansive living spaces, large bedrooms with huge closets and private baths.
Reese-Vanderbilt was the architect on Boulevard Lofts and Hathaway Construction was the general contractor.
