"The TD Corporate Campus in Greenville is a major investment in the local economy, and is the result of a strong partnership between TD and local, regional and state officials," said Bharat Masrani, President and CEO, TD Bank. "This is a prime location that will support the continued growth of America's Most Convenient Bank in South Carolina and across our Maine to Florida footprint."

TD's Greenville campus will serve as a regional center for company operations including credit card services, audit, small business, technology, employee training and customer service. To date, TD Bank has hired nearly 600 employees to staff the campus, and expects to bring on an additional 800 employees within the next three to five years.

Located in the center of campus is the bank's new Contact Center, which will employ more than 500 employees and offer live customer service in the bank's Maine-to-Florida footprint. The Contact Center – TD Bank's third on the East Coast – previously operated in a temporary location on campus, taking its first call on Aug. 2, 2012. In January, the Contact Center reached its 1 millionth call milestone, and employees moved into the center's permanent location in Building C recently.

"TD Bank's corporate campus in Greenville is a great asset to South Carolina, bringing hundreds of new jobs for our citizens," said Governor Nikki R. Haley . "When strong corporations like TD Bank invest is South Carolina it not only strengthens our economy, but it shows this is a great state in which to do business."

"TD has invested in South Carolina through lending, providing jobs, giving grants to area non-profits and providing our unmatched convenience in banking," said Rob Hoak, Regional President for TD Bank in South Carolina. "Our campus grand opening is another TD promise fulfilled."

The campus comprises three buildings with nearly 300,000-square-feet of office space situated on 67 acres along I-85. Construction recently was completed on the center building, which houses the Contact Center. The bank will submit the building for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification, a designation already achieved by the other two buildings. Among the facilities' environmentally friendly features are state-of-the-art lighting and climate controls, high efficiency water fixtures, recycled and low-emitting building materials and bicycle storage for employees.

Construction on the Contact Center began in early 2012 and included adding two floors to the existing floor plan. TD Bank worked with general contractor MB Kahn Construction Company, design firm Design Strategies LLC and Hubbell Lighting Inc. to finish the building. The bank invested $17 million to renovate and build out the campus.
