Triotto Office Building in Helsinki Earns Gold LEED Certification

The Triotto office building located in Käpylä, Helsinki, Finland has been awarded Gold level LEED environmental certification.

Requirements of internationally environmentally efficient building were used as starting points for the building’s design. Utilisation of the latest building technology solutions made it possible to realise these demands.

Factors affecting the achievement of such a high LEED rating include, amongst other things, the utilisation of LED lighting, energy use monitoring and the building’s location, which allows the use of public transport.

“Internationally renowned environmental certification is valued highly amongst investors and environmentally aware tenants. We also design our future office buildings to meet the LEED gold rating as a minimum,” says Jarkko Pakkala, Unit Director at YIT.

The Triotto office building is an extension of the Business Park Duetto completed in the adjoining plot by YIT in 2008. Triotto, measuring approximately 15,500 m2 in area, was completed in 2012. Modern office facilities have been implemented in Triotto, allowing an adaptation of the facilities to meet also the future needs of users. Telecom group DNA Ltd and national grid company Fingrid Oyj are headquartered in the building. The owner of Triotto is the German real estate investor Hansainvest.
