KONE ReVolution Elevator Modernization Solution Named One of Best New Products of 2012

KONE Inc. is proud to announce that its KONE ReVolution™ elevator modernization solution has been named one of the best new products of the year by Architectural Record magazine. The winning offering will be featured in the December 2012 issue of the magazine as one of the most innovative offerings available to architects, specifiers, and designers in 2013.

"KONE is honored that our elevator modernization solution has been named one of the most innovative offerings in the market," said Larry Wash, EVP and Area Director of KONE Americas. "We strive to provide our customers with the industry's most innovative and eco-efficient products, and we are proud to accept this recognition of our efforts."

KONE ReVolution, a complete elevator system upgrade, combines the advantages of innovative gearless technology with superior controller and door operation. It is ideal for any low-rise, mid-rise or high-rise application. The complete package delivers gearless performance, lower energy costs, shorter waiting times, improved ride quality and an environmentally responsible product. The upgrade features the KONE EcoDisc® motor, which consumes less power and produces less heat than traditional traction elevators and offers energy savings of up to 40 percent compared to conventional gearless and geared elevators.

The awards are voted on by the magazine's editorial team and a panel of distinguished architects to determine the best new products available in the coming year. KONE ReVolution was included in the Special Construction & Conveying Systems category.
