The Westin Peachtree Plaza is a 72 story hotel in Atlanta with a memorable history of numerous celebrity guests and the revolving Sun Dial restaurant that is 72 stories above Atlanta.
The top of the tower is all set to enter into the next chapter, with a $45 million transformation to make sure that guests have a comprehensively modern and luxurious experience at the totally reframed Westin Peachtree Plaza.
The new renovation features redesigned hallways and guest rooms. The renovation includes a $2 million updates to the hotel’s elite six luxury suites on the 69th and 70th floors along with the two-story Presidential and Chairman suites. Furthermore, all 6,350 windows in the towering hotel will be replaced, and an environmental upgrade of the cooling and heating system to enhance sustainability will be executed at a cost of $13million.
The suites and guest rooms will feature classical forms of Art Deco with furniture integrating eco-sensitive fabrics and earth tones. Five guest rooms will be added during renovation, increasing the total availability of rooms to 1,073.
All the guest accommodations will trait new paints and wallpaper, carpet, new Heavenly Bed feather-filled duvet covers and inserts, bed skirts and boudoir pillows. They will also include fresh ergonomic desk chairs, phones, eco-friendly climate controls, lamps, new window treatments, 42” flat screen televisions, resurfaced bathroom tiles and Heavenly Showers. Floor to ceiling windows will remain as it is as they provide spectacular scenario of Atlanta.
The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View will also go through a $3 million renovation in nearing months. The restaurant rotates to present the diners a 360 degree view of Atlanta which is a tradition of the city for a handcrafted cocktail and fine dining. Along with the more than 400 couples who get engaged every Valentine’s Day, many guests take home long-lasting memories of this revolving restaurant. The renovation is slated for a mid-November completion.
