Interstate Hotels & Resorts, which is a U.S.-based international hotel management enterprise, finished the $9 million refurbishing of the earlier Crowne Plaza Hotel, which has been transformed into the Sheraton Tampa East Hotel.
The hotel was procured by a joint venture of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Waramaug Hospitality LLC and a private investment conglomerate. As per a long-term management contract, Interstate will manage the Sheraton Tampa East Hotel. Waramaug Hospitality Asset Management LLC offered project and asset management for the refurbishing and transformation to the Sheraton brand.
The refurbishing involved improving all 265 guest rooms, the 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting area, and all common spaces, and also updating the reception to Sheraton’s distinctive lobby, the Link Sheraton culture. The other facilities include the wholly refurbished full-service restaurant, Sheraton Club Lounge, Panfilio’s Bar and Grille, an exterior heated pool, tennis courts, updated fitness facility featuring the brand’s Sheraton Fitness programmed by Core Performance.
All refurbished guest rooms have customized ergonomic chairs, spacious work desks, high-speed Internet, LCD flat screen televisions, MP3 docking stations, and the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed. The 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event area of Sheraton Tampa East Hotel has a ballroom covering 5000 sq. ft., 24 meeting rooms and a poolside pavilion for parties.
Sheraton Tampa East Hotel is close to the I-75, important corporations, 5 miles from the Tampa Convention Center and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, 10 miles from downtown Tampa, and 16 miles from Tampa International Airport. The hotel has easy access to important locations such as the Ford amphitheater, Brandon Town Center and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
