Resmark Apartment Living has joined hands with Intracorp for developing two urban apartment buildings in the northeast region of Seattle.
The two communities will include totally 273 units, with a seven-story building for 161 units on 4545 8th Avenue Northeast in the University District, and a six-story center with a 112-unit building on 1020 Northeast 63rd Street.
The apartment property on the 8th Avenue Northeast is designed to meet the requirements and lifestyle of young professionals and students. This building will have units ranging from 385 to 754 sq. ft. in size with studio apartments of one and two bedroom units with dens. Situated in the center of the “U District,” the building is about half a mile away from the University of Washington. Shopping, dining and entertainment are available within walking distance. One portion of the units is expected to be leased out under the guidelines of affordable housing.
The building at Northeast 63rd Street will offer contemporary units that will range from 385 to 800 sq. ft. in size. These will be designed as studios that will have one- and two-bedrooms units with four live/work units. The location is five miles from the central downtown, close to major employers, and at walking distance from retail shops and restaurants down Roosevelt Way. The project also includes some units that will be let out under the affordable housing guidelines.
Both properties feature recent technology and provide high level access and connectivity for the “Generation Y” residents. Each unit will be embedded with green elements, such as systems and programs that improve the air quality indoors and provide optimum energy efficiency. There will be ample space for bike storage as well. The construction of these two buildings is slated for the first quarter of 2013.
