Construction is underway on the first model home at a 700- acre master-planned community called Randal Park in Southeast Orlando.
Randal Park, situated at the junction of Dowden Road and SR 417, will feature 750 homes. Around 300 ac of the heavily-wooded site has been allocated for parks, wilderness, and hiking and biking trails. The community will feature amenities such as a community center comprising an open pavilion, a large, resort-style swimming pool, and large lawns for neighborhood meetings.
Construction on the David Weekley Homes model started last week and the home is already raised to the roof level. The model home is a one-story Calypso plan that will feature three bedrooms, a bonus room, two bathrooms, a pool and fire pit. Construction must be completed and ready for tours by mid-September 2012.
Already, David Weekley holds purchase agreements on six new homes at the master-planned community and intends to start construction in September on four showcase homes so that they will be ready for buyers who are willing to relocate to the new home community in Orlando.
Project Director of Randal Park, Reed Berlinsky stated that there has been a whole lot of happiness associated with this development. The start of construction will help address the demands of potential buyers. M/I Homes, which will also be constructing at Randal Park, intends to begin its model home construction soon.
