Guardian Realty Investors have roped in KBR Building Group to construct The Premier, a multi-storied housing complex in Silver Spring, MD, conceived by WDG Architects.
Guardian Realty Investors, has been acquiring, developing, funding, renting out and maintaining buildings for close to half a century, and is in charge of a real estate investment trust and investment vehicles owning about 50 buildings in the regions of Washington, D.C., Virginia and suburbs of Maryland.
The Premier, which is a 14-story complex with 160 housing units with aspirations of LEED corroboration, will feature many upscale contemporary amenities, besides six floors of parking space with two on subterranean floors, area for keeping bikes, changing rooms, roof terrace, lounge and clubroom as well as retail outlets on the lower level.The Premier will be bound by the upcoming Fenton Street extension on one side, which will have an exclusive “public arts plaza” conceived by the regional artist Martha Jackson-Jarvis. The building of The Premier by KBR Building Group’s regional office in Vienna, Virginia, is expected to start by July 2012 and the project will be delivered by winter 2013. KBR Group with headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., promotes construction of commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, mixed-use varieties of buildings in Washington and surrounding areas.
