To assist the residents of Bayonne harbor and the surrounding regions, PEC/RM from Millville, NJ has taken up the project to build the New South Harbor Fire Station at the peninsula of the Bayonne harbour.
Extending over about 11,000 sq. ft., the fire station will house three double deep fire engines, administrative work space, accommodations for living, and space for laundry, pantry and dining as well as workouts. The frontage of the construction would comprise exteriors to go with the intrinsic characteristic of the surroundings. To be built on the new plot allotted by the Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority, the project is expected to be completed in 6 months.
Robert Mesmer, VP and GM of PEC/RM, expressed pride in being selected to execute this venture and is confident in the expertise of the sub-contractors, including RSC Architects, which will help finish the undertaking in the short timespan allowed for completion. RSC Architects has many splendid fire station blueprints to its credit.
The location of the intended fire station, which was earlier scheduled to house multi-use seafront constructions, is excellent as it extends into the New York harbor and provides a clear view of the surrounding area.
