As a result of the devastation caused in New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina, the American Concrete Institute has relocated its Fall Convention to the Kansas City Marriott and Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The dates of the convention remain unchanged - November 6-10, 2005.
The American Concrete Institute extends its sympathies to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Regularly scheduled convention meetings and events will take place in Kansas City; including over 300 meetings, 40 technical sessions, and an exhibit hall filled with exhibitors and attendees. Convention highlights such as the FRPRCS-7 symposium, the celebratory dinner for the twenty-fifth anniversary of ACI's certification program, 'Structural Concrete in the Americas' workshop, and the concrete cube student competition will still occur.
To better accommodate those wishing to attend, the pre-registration cutoff date has been extended until October 7, 2005. As a courtesy to those who have already registered, ACI has transferred all registrations from New Orleans to Kansas City.
To register for the convention, visit ACI's website at www.concrete.org or call 248-848-3800. For additional convention information, call 248-848-3795.
Additionally, the Strategic Development Council and American Shotcrete Association meetings will be held in Kansas City on November 4-5. The International Concrete Repair Institute Convention will also be held at the Kansas City Marriott, November 2-5.
