Williams Scotsman a company specialising in modular spacing and storage has announced that it has supplied four sustainable permanent modular building to the El Paso Corporation. These modular buildings which are located at the Ruby Pipeline have been awarded with LEED Gold Certification from USGBC.
The length of the pipeline extends to 683 miles and provides natural gas to the West Coastal markets. Williams Scotsman has also provided temporary modular buildings for the project.
For this delivery the company worked in partnership with engineering, construction and technical services company URS to make use of sustainable building and design practices into all the phases of construction. The constructed modular buildings have also achieved the Green Globe designation which is recognised worldwide and is a standard rating tool. The Ruby pipeline has been considered as the industry standard model in terms of an environment friendly and efficient pipeline. According to Senior VP of US Field Operations for Williams Scotsman Joseph Vecchiolla, El Paso is known for its ability to operate a pipeline that is neutral to carbon. He also added Williams Scotsman has the capacity to provide modular construction offices, permanent modular building and workforce housing in remote areas where building material and labour are not available readymade.
