Oltmans Construction Begins Warehouse Building Construction in California

US based industrial and commercial general contracting company, Oltmans Construction has announced that it has commenced the construction of a warehouse building in Azusa, California which will accommodate a well-known discount outlet called The Outlet by E.L.S.

The warehouse building will cover an area of 47,000 sq. ft. and will be made using hybrid steel and wood roof and concrete tilt up construction. The building also consists of a rainwater retention basin in order to let rainwater seep into the ground instead of falling in the storm drain.

Construction of the warehouse is likely to be completed by July 2012 until which E.L.S will continue to operate from its present campus in Monrovia, Canada. According to the co-owner of E.L.S Mark Charvat, the new warehouse building will enhance the company’s capacity by 40,000 sq. ft., increase its revenues by double, and add 25 to 50 employees over the next five years. Oltman hopes to recycle 70% to 75% of material wastage from the construction work such as cement, drywall, metals, cardboard and forms. Other features of the building will include irrigation controllers based on the weather and a secure bicycle storage area. Cement required for the construction will be sourced from local manufacturers so that concrete truck traffic is reduced.

Oltman Constructions specialises in interior tenant improvements, worship centres, office buildings, warehouse distribution centres, renewable energy projects and retrofitting existing buildings.
