Toro Collaborates with Ryan for Building Distribution Center near Des Moines

Toro has collaborated with Ryan for constructing a distribution center close to Des Moines at Iowa. The 450,000 square-foot distribution center will help enhance operational efficiency and support development of the company.

After construction, Toro will acquire the building for lease from Ryan. The distribution operations from Beatrice, NE, and Lakeville, MN of the company will be shifted to the new building.

The products manufactured from the Beatrice and Windom facility of the company, including landscape and housing contractor turf maintenance instrument, will be distributed through the new facility. These products will be delivered to dealers and distributors and the Home Depot in Canada and US.

The operations and quality management Vice President of Toro, Judy Altmaier stated that the new distribution center will expand the growth of the company and help to reach its Destination 2014 objectives on income and profit. Since the facility is close to Beatrice and Windom production units, better operational efficiency is ensured. Judy added that the new facility can be accessed with ease.

The Vice President of development at Ryan Companies, Casey Hankinson was happy about the association and added that amidst heavy competition, the company was selected by Toro to build the new facility at an affordable cost.

Toro will hire around 20 employees for its new distribution center.

Toro offers precision irrigation systems and turf and landscape maintenance instruments globally. From 1914, the company is providing customer care services which include agricultural fields, public green spaces, sports fields, golf courses and residential and commercial properties.
