JELD-WEN to Display Sustainable Windows and Doors at Ecobuild 2012

UK based JELD-WEN has announced that it will display its new line of sustainable windows and doors at the Ecobuild show to be held this year. The new line particularly includes a conservation window, which has been designed to help developers acquire planning permission in conservation areas and to replace existing windows that offer enhanced thermal performance.

Other products include a new Box sash window which has thermal performance qualities coupled with an elegant look. However, in terms of mechanism used, the current box sash window does not use the pulleys and weights thus making it easier to be accommodated for the refurbishment market and conservation markets.

The company will also display its Stormsure range which comes in an oak finish, the DreamVu aluminum clad window range, which does not require high maintenance and the Tilt n Turn window range which provides flexibility in cleaning. The company will also release the DreamVu line in timber with a U value of 1.0 W/mK for customers who are looking out for doors with natural light properties and improved thermal performance. Another new line of products will be the DreamVu 68 door sets, measuring a thickness of 68 mm and are suitable for social housing renovation or new constructions. Apart from the above major collections, the company will also display its line of moulded internal doors and the SecureFit Flat timber entrance door set which is now being provided with a 60 minute fire rated version. This version is particularly useful for developers to achieve the Secured by Design accreditation.
