Major Companies Enter Construction Agreement

Howard Hughes declared recently that Waste Connections has entered into a lease for an area of 49,929 sq.ft at 3 Waterway Square Place, a 234,000-square-foot Class A office building consisting of 11-story will be constructed in the Woodlands Town Center.

The leased space at 3 Waterway Square Place has been increased by Nexeo Solutions, from 64,046 sq.ft to 106,710 sq.ft. The location of 3 Waterway is at the edge of Woodloch Forest Drive and Lake Robbins Drive. Designed by Elkus Manfredi of Boston, MA, the building is expected to be completed by the early 2013.

The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC) is a part of the Howard Hughes. Directed by Texas Capital Bank, $43.3 M has been granted as financial support towards the construction of the building, which is under progress.

Waste Connections, an integrated solid waste services company declared in December that its corporate HQ will be relocated to The Woodlands, Texas. Nexeo Solutions is a privately-operated environmental services and distribution company. Located at the 73-ac waterway square district of town Center adjacent to the Woodlands, 3 Waterway Square area includes 1.1M sq.ft of office space, 148,000 sq.ft of retail, accommodating 500 urban residences and 343 hotel rooms at the distinguished Convention Center and The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel.

Howard Hughes has been devising plans to build three new Class A office buildings and a neighboring parking garage, following the charter of 3 Waterway Square. The construction plan will be erected on 9.02 ac located pointing to the west of McKesson Building.
