Horticultural science company LiveRoof has announced that it has chosen James Greenhouses as its latest distributor for the LiveRoof Hybrid Green Roof System.
The system has been developed by horticulturalists and designed in such a manner that it makes the green roof as a naturally occurring ecosystem on the rooftops of buildings.
On a national level, LiveRoof has a network with 20 licensed regional growers both in the US and Canada. The horticulturalists at LiveRoof make use of the local expertise in local plant biology, regional horticulture and study the specific microclimates for the development of customised plant palettes so that they meet the specific customer requirements. LiveRoof focuses on building a green roof, which does not involve too much of maintenance and at the same time succeeds in providing energy savings, aesthetic beauty to the rooftops, contributes to conservation of the environment and maximises roof membrane protection.
Other licensed regional growers include Rocky Mountain Green Roofs, Joss Growers and Pepiniere Premier Plant. James Greenhouse has a facility covering an area of 70,000 sq.ft and makes use of equipment such as sub-irrigation, under bench hot water, mist booms and computerised environment control gadgets, which are all designed to maintain high quality and reduce costs.
