Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Announces Opening of LEED Certified Hotel Building

Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, along with Southern States Management has declared the inaugural ceremony marking the opening of Hyatt Place Raleigh West/RBC Center, distinguished as one of the premier LEED certified hotel buildings in the Raleigh region.

Hyatt Place Raleigh West/RBC Center building includes several unique environmental sustainability features that helped achieve LEED certification. These features include energy-efficient landscaping, electric car charging stations, hotel transportation van powered by butane gas, over 30 solar panels to generate hot water, solar powered trash compactors, energy efficient HVAC systems and LED lighting across the hotel, and motion activated thermostats for all the 132 guestrooms.

Located proximal to the State Fairgrounds, RBC Center, downtown Raleigh, Interstate 40 and RDU airport, the Hyatt Place Raleigh West/RBC Center offers a 1,200 square-foot luxury suite that includes conference table, a large sitting area, king suite and adjoining king suite, 132 spacious guestrooms with a 42-in HDTV, an eight-foot sectional sofa sleeper and the plush Hyatt Grand Bed, comprehensive meeting packages meant to meet the specific needs of customers along with a Hyatt Place meeting host, a 5,500 sq.ft of pre-function and meeting space that can accommodate up to 150 people, provided with wireless internet and contemporary screens for presentations, Complimentary Wi-Fi access all over the hotel, round-the-clock guest kitchen serving, Bakery Café featuring Starbucks specialty coffees, wines and cocktails and premium beers, and complimentary breakfast that includes a variety of fresh fruits, premium coffee, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, breads, and a variety of juices.
