KB Home, a leading homebuilder, displayed the net-zero energy home in Colorado. This is the company’s first service to the state. The inaugural ceremony took place at its Bear Creek Meadows community in Morrison. Guests at the event included Donald Rosier, Chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners and other employees of KB Home.
At the event, the community school children were entertained with several games, education, and a guided tour, representing the features of the new home, the ZeroHouse 2.0.
Construction projects generally contracted by KB Home, always meet the U.S. EPA’s ENERGY STAR standards. This novel launch of ZeroHouse 2.0 in Morrison will promote the further operation of the firm’s net-zero energy homes. This will also facilitate improving KB Home’s services in Texas, Florida and California. The energy-efficiency of the buildings constructed by KB home will attract several customers in the Denver area.
The firm’s novel approach results from the high efficiency of the ZeroHouse 2.0, contributing to offer advanced HVAC systems, improved insulation, low-e windows, triple-pane, and solar panels on the roof. The inaugural event included students from Kendallvue Elementary. Individual quiz-show was hosted by KB Home to encourage the school children, making them understand the significance of ZeroHouse 2.0. The closing of the ceremony included awarding a cash prize to the school’s principal.
