Peab Wins Contract for Shopping Mall Construction in Scandinavia

Peab has been contracted by Unibail-Rodamco to construct the shopping center Mall of Scandinavia in Solna. The contract is estimated to be about SEK 3500M.

This mall will be the advanced and biggest shopping mall in Scandinavia including 250 stores and several restaurants. The five-storey building will be constructed proximal to the Swedbank Arena and Quality Hotel Arena that are under construction in Solna.

Arenastaden will be a contemporary locality and an exceptional site with the establishment of the Mall of Scandinava, providing an extensive range of modern housing, sophisticated services and communications, convention center, hotels, shopping, and various other services at Swedbank Arena. Besides, several advanced companies like Vattenfall have shifted their headquarters to Arenastaden.

The construction of the Mall of Scandinavia will be completed by the autumn of the 2015. The project’s order will be mentioned in early 2012. The President and CEO of Peab, Jan Johansson says that the Mall of Scandinavia is the company’s largest contract ever and it is a major part of the principal development project in Sweden, Arenastaden. This is an outstanding mall and the company associated with its partners is intended to offer increased quality all through the process.
