Lennar, a large homebuilder, declared that the company is expanding its homebuilding operations into the Pacific Northwest, in the markets of Seattle and Portland.
Lennar serves 650 completed home sites in 20 communities, through the premier Communities of Seattle. Since 1998, Premier Communities, a private company directed by Ryan McGowan, has offered over 1,600 homes in the Seattle area.
Lennar's initiatives in Portland are being supervised by Ryan Selby, a homebuilding veteran from Portland. Lennar obtained inadequately completed home sites in 11 communities under Mr. Selby's guidance. The constructions yet to be completed in the Portland area by Lennar will be focused on first-hand, elite homebuyers.
Lennar's Chief Operating Officer, Jon Jaffe says that the firm is being expanded into the Pacific Northwest. Over a decade, the firm has been observing the Seattle and Portland markets and considers that this is the right opportunity and time to gain access into those markets. The stabilizing home prices and varying economies benefits both Portland and Seattle .The firm further anticipates its expansion operation to Pacific Northwest to be a successful development over 2012, supported by the combined experience of Ryan McGowan and Ryan Selby.
Lennar’s expansion into the Pacific Northwest is its first entry into a new market since entering Atlanta as an initiative operation in the beginning of 2010. Following this expansion, the firm progresses its homebuilding operations in 44 markets and in 18 states, across the nation.
