Echo Pacific Builds New Bio-Tech High School in California

Echo Pacific Construction has started to build the Del Lago Academy in Escondido, California.

DEL LAGO ACADEMY - Campus of Applied Science.

The new high school construction is a part of the $98 million general commitment bond measure of the union high school district in Escondido. Proposition T was agreed for the capital progress and new buildings at three high schools and also a bio-tech high school construction.

This construction is the second lease-lease back project between Echo Pacific and the Escondido union high school district. This new Del Lago Academy is a small bio-tech school, which is being built for all the students in the district. The academic foundation is Medical Sciences and Biotechnology, which will offer the students, specific opportunities in career education. The company has planned to open the school during 2013-2014.

Echo Pacific’s President and Owner, Chris Rowe, stated that the company is delighted as it has been selected by Escondido Union High School District to build one of the superior schools in southern California.

The project’s potential will contain complete expansion of the site and utilities, and expansion of the roads. The construction of this facility has included general use of school grounds and buildings and classrooms, food service units, scientific and computer labs.

Efficiency upgrading, together with the usage of synthetic turf, recycled materials and storm water reduction methods, will support in achieving the standards of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS). CHPS is a program of green build rating for the K-12 schools. This standard identifies the schools that are educationally functional and environmentally sound.
