Harsco Receives New Orders for Two Ongoing Construction Projects

Harsco has received new orders worth of over $1 million in order to help the two ongoing main construction projects in Latin America.

The company will be supplying tower cranes, concrete forming rental scaffolding systems to build the magnificent Hotel RIU Palace in Costa Rica. The biggest beach hotel construction project is ongoing in Costa Rica and is one of the first progressing projects in the country after the financial depression. Consequently, this project is expected to bring more tourism to Costa Rica.

Harsco, in its second order, will offer concrete forming and rental scaffolding systems to the latest headquarters building, Instituto Guatemalteco de Seguridad Social de Occidente (IGSS), in the national health care system of Guatemala, which is currently being constructed in Quetzaltenango. The company has planned to carry on the construction till the mid of 2012. This project will be the main facility for social services outside Guatemala City’s capital.

The Infrastructure group CEO and VP of Harsco has stated that these important projects highlight the range and scale of the company’s abilities and the establishment of wide markets in this area. Harsco will have a solid support to create further chances, because of the investment in elemental infrastructure gaining priority.
