SGS Automotive Services Opens Automotive Part Lab in China

SGS Automotive Services has declared the opening of its Automotive Part Lab, in Productivity Boosting Center, in Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETDZ), Changchun. The lab is looking forward to serve the components and automotive industries in north-east China with a variety of specialized testing services.

The new APL Lab at Changchun is located over 2,500 sq m area of space. The laboratory constructed with an investment of around 10 million RMB will offer automotive services such as endurance testing, whole car reliability, ageing, and environmental simulation and also will provide the clients other mundane requirements such as material and coating, auto chassis, electronic components and exterior and others.

The laboratory includes all the latest equipment such as an 8 ton vibration table attached with an 8 cube meter environment chamber, a 78 cube meter drive-in chamber and other equipment for multi-functional material testing and sunshine stimulation. The other testing facilities at the lab includes dust resistance, water resistance ozone tester, salt spray and a pneumatic testing system.

SGS provides testing and certification, verification and inspection services. The services of the company are considered as the worldwide standard for integrity and quality. SGS has more than 1250 laboratories and offices around the world and employs over 67,000 people.
