KB Home Unveils Zero Energy Homes

KB Home, a national home building company, has unveiled its plans to provide energy efficient net-zero energy home designs known as Zerohouse 2.0 all over the country. It is the latest introduction from a company which provides its advanced type of Built to Order homebuilders to bring down the cost of home construction to home buyers.

While the latest ENERGY STAR rated normal KB home allows the home owners an average of around $1,000 on their spending towards energy utility when compared to a normal home of its size, the choice of ZeroHouse 2.0 will remove the expense on monthly electricity charges totally.

The first of the ZeroHouse 2.0 home designs will have solar power production systems and construction methods to improve the energy efficiency of homes ahead of the ENERGY STAR qualified normal home constructions of KB Homes. The proposed ZeroHouse 2.0 home will first open in Austin, San Antonio and Tampa soon. The ZeroHouse 2.0 homes enable the buyers to choose and incorporate their own energy friendly ideas by utilizing the KB Home studio facility.
