Laurus Acquires Office Building at Market Street, San Francisco

Laurus declared that it has finished the purchase of an office building situated at Market St in San Francisco, California.

It formed 1155 SF Partners, an investment vehicle, to acquire the property. The institutional quality an eleven storied office construction with one stage underground parking facility comprising around 140,000 sq ft area of rentable office space is ideally situated inside the Civic Center area.

The Civic Center covers around 6 million sq ft of office space taken by the City of San Francisco, the State of California and the Federal Government. The area identified for its judicious mix of fine restaurants, residential accommodation and offices also hosts a variety of cultural attractions such as civic auditorium, Davies Symphony Hall, War Memorial Opera House, Herbst Theatre and City Hall within a few blocks from the property.

Market Street where the property is located is an important street that goes through the City of San Francisco. Starting at the Ferry Building over the waterfront, it extends from the business district through the retail district of the city, Civic center and ends in the Castro. The street allows every type of public transport facility such as trolley cars, buses, MUNI, BART and provides approach to cable cars at Powell Street.

Laurus has plans to upgrade the construction, which includes the total building atmosphere, public bathrooms, corridors, lobby, façade to offer improved working atmosphere to visitors and tenants.
