Kopex International now offers a full range of liquid tight electrical conduits and fittings for demanding environments.
Available in both steel and stainless steel versions, all conduit is fully flexible and providing excellent mechanical strength. The 316 stainless steel range is especially suitable for corrosive environments whilst the flexibility in design means the conduit is well matched to continuously vibrating or flexing applications.
Highlights of the Liquid Tight steel conduit ranges include UL/CSA, a conduit approved to UL/CSA standards. It is a copper packed conduit which has high mechanical strength and ingress protection to IP 66/67 when used with associated connectors. It has a temperature rating of -25ºC to +105ºC and is available in 16mm to 63mm diameters. In flame propagation tests, flames are extinguished in less than 60 seconds after the ignition source is removed.
The oil resistant RO-PVC version provides increased protection against dilute acids, alkalis and hydro-carbon products. It provides IP66 and IP67 ingress protection with Liquid Tight connectors. Electrical flash voltage is 72kV and insulation resistance is greater than 100MO. Exceptional mechanical strength is a key feature of RO-PVC conduit which is available in 16-40mm diameter sizes. It has a temperature rating of -40ºC to +105ºC and its flame propagation properties ensure the flame dies in only 30 seconds after the ignition source is removed. RO-PVC conduit has SEMKO, NEMKO, VDE approvals and is used in conjunction with Kopex's range of FK-F straight and angled connectors.
Amongst the stainless steel Liquid Tight ranges, LT-type covered conduit provides ingress protection to IP 66 and IP 67 when used with KF-F fittings. Associated ATEX flameproof glands can also be specified.
