Home Properties, an apartment real estate venture trust, declared that it has commenced renting of ‘The Apartment’ at Cobblestone Square in Fredericksburg, VA. The recently developed class A type of residential community is located close to the center of Fredericksburg’s old town and is connected to a number of mass transport facilities, which includes Virginia Railway Express (VRE).
The community will have eight four-storey buildings housing a total of 302 one and two bedroom apartments and commenced its construction in January 2011. As a ninth building in the community, the housing company is renovating a rail depot to house 12 blocks thus taking the total number of apartment houses to 314 at the community.
Home Properties has set up a temporary leasing office in Fredericksburg, VA, to enable the likely occupants to see the showing of two and three dimensional type of building designs and floor plans. It is planning to locate its permanent leasing office at the rail depot homes after the renovations in October 2011. The rail depot homes will house 10 loft apartments and 2 one-bedroom apartments taking advantage of the building’s tall inside spaces. The one and two bedroom apartments that are available for lease will have a personal terrace or patio, roomy walk-in-type of closets in all the master bedrooms, 42” kitchen cabinets and stainless steel gadgets.
The other amenities planned at the location include a trailhead for a designed trail system, which will ultimately connect the city center of Fredericksburg to places away from the city limits, entry to a 10-acre natural park close by and a resort style swimming pool.
The first of the midrise apartment constructions at the site are anticipated to be opened by the middle of October 2011 and residents will have a choice to rent extra storage space.
