KB Home Announces ‘Awesome’ Residential Community with Solar Power

KB Home, a home building company from America, has declared the opening of a new residential district known as Awesometown’ in Valencia, California.

The Milan at WestHills community from KB Home is the first ever housing community to provide solar power systems as a normal feature in its new home constructions.

Valencia, California where KB Home has opened its latest community is located in Southern California, which continues to be a division of the greater Los Angeles, which is considered as the most attractive location providing a number of amenities and job opportunities to its residents. The opening of the new home inf Milan at West Hills further increases the efforts of the company to include solar systems as a normal feature in its number of upcoming homes. The new construction is the ninth community for KB Home in Southern California and its third project in the Santa Clarita Valley. The included solar installations while enabling the home owners to cut down their power usage also makes them eligible for federal tax credits.

For the purpose of educating the clients about the benefits of solar energy systems installed at the new homes and other features that saves energy, the company has included a Energy Performance Guide (EPG) in all its new homes. The guide offers a comprehensive detail on monthly gas/power usage at the homes and its comparable energy efficiency with other normal home of similar sizes.

According to the estimation provided by the EPG guide, a two storeyed 2,941 sq.ft, home utilizing a standard 1.35 kW system included in the construction will pay around $94 for its gas and power bills. If the solar system is upgraded to the maximum level of 3.15 kW the bill payment will come down to $47 per month.

The home designs at Milan at West Hills are offered in 2941 to 4028 sq.ft, ranges with a living space, six number of bedrooms, four number of bathrooms and tandem garage to park three cars.
