The AIA Design Awards brings in recognition from professionals as well as the public for the projects that offer brilliant design solutions meeting the client goals.

The Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) located in Idaho Falls, ID, is a LEED Gold awarded two storeyed research facility occupying an area of 58,000 sq ft. The facility includes office space, instrument shop and repair facility, CAVE, visualization/power wall, systems modeling, chemistry labs, analytical instrumentation labs, radio chemistry labs, imaging suites, advanced material labs, hydrogen labs and an office space featuring under-floor air delivery facility. GSBS Architects and Big-D’s design-build team were involved in the construction of the facility to make it a world class center offering nuclear research and education for the University of Idaho, Boise State University, Idaho State University and Idaho National Laboratory.

The Tracy Aviary Visitor Education Center is being completed by Big-D in association with ajc architects.
