Walmart has announced that it will break ground in September for the construction of a new Supercenter in Denton, Maryland. The Supercenter is designed to provide shopping comfort to clients who look forward for a range of products such as fresh food articles and day-to-day general products for selection at affordable cost.
The Supercenter will occupy an area of 152,888 sq ft , will boast a full range of groceries, bakery, frozen food section, food shop, fresh produce, dairy and meat sections to provide one-stop shopping services for the families. It will also include merchandise areas for health and beauty, outdoor gardening, fine jewelry, home products, electronics, sports goods, accessories and apparel. It will also include a Subway. The Supercenter is anticipated to create around 250 jobs for the local residents. The Supercenter is anticipated to function from the summer of 2012 at 610 Legion Road, Denton, MD 21629.
Walmart presently has 12 Sam’s Clubs and 35 stores in Maryland State. The retail company currently works in partnership with 1,359 suppliers all over the state and provides job opportunities to 17,678 associates.
