LCS Constructors Receives STEP Diamond Safety Award

LCS Constructors has announced that it has been chosen by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) to receive the prestigious award for safety, the STEP Diamond Award.

This year, ABC will present 516 safety awards but only twenty six companies across the United States will receive the honorary Diamond Safety Award. LCS' position in the select group places the company in the top 5% of the United States’ safest contractors.

The recipients chosen by ABC for the STEP Diamond Award represents companies with low average Incidence Rates as compared to the construction industry averages, exceptional long-term safety performance records and an EMR rating less than or equal to 0.700.

Recipients of the STEP Diamond Award are automatically eligible for the Construction Industry Safety Excellence Award by the Construction Users Round Table as well as the National Safety Excellence Awards. The National Safety Excellence Awards is the utmost level of recognition bestowed by ABC in safety training.

LCS has ensured safety in construction sites for years and has maintained very good EMR ratings. As a result, there were no recordable incidents in 2009 and 2010.
