KB Home, a home builder from the USA, declared that it has contracted an accord with Fieldstone Homes to buy around 623 completed home sites and 1,297 prospective home sites from Fieldstone in 11 San Antonio-area communities.
Earlier this year, Fieldstone Homes, a Southern California-based private home building company, has declared its intentions to move out of the San Antonio construction market. The terms of the accord are not known.
KB Home will start the building activities with its new model homes in eight of the announced communities such as Southton Ranch, Northeast Crossing, Mustang Valley, Loma Vista, Gatewood, Chestnut Springs, Carmona Hills and Cap Rock. It is planning to commence the construction in communities such as Falcon Landing, Ida Creek and Amber Creek in future.
KB Home is planning to have its key ‘The Open Series’ home designs in the construction of one and two-storey plans with choice of exterior designs such as brick, stone and stucco. The homes constructed to qualify for ENERGY STAR rating will include its own Energy Performance Guide (EPG) to inform the prospective buyers the approximate energy cost such as gas and power that will be incurred by the building.
KB Home enables the buyers to personalize and complete their new home designs with the required features at their studio. Each of the construction from the company provides a range of options to choose from with regard to the hardware fixtures, door design, paint colors, crown molding, window coverings, lighting, cabinets, countertops, used appliances and flooring.
