Masonite declared that it has contracted an accord to take over Marshfield DoorSystems, a Marshfield, WI, head-quartered company.
The financial details of the take over are not revealed. The acquisition deal is anticipated to get completed on receipt of regulatory approval.
Marshfield is engaged in supplying door and door components that meets the architectural requirements and specific usages of commercial applications. The company established in 1890 in Marshfield, WI, has been engaged in the production and sales of quality door products meant for commercial applications from 1908. The company in addition to its main production facility in Marshfield, WI, also has facilities in Largo, FL, and Greensboro, NC. The company employs around 600 people and earned over $100 million in 2010.
According to Fred Lynch, President and CEO of Masonite, the takeover of Marshfield will offer an extra strategical growth platform for the company. He added that the combination of both the brands will enable the company to offer a number of novel door products to meet the growing architectural and commercial applications of the customers.
