Archstone, an apartment development and investment company declared that it has commenced the building of a new luxury apartment community close to the Texas Medical Center in Houston, which currently hosts around 49 institutions employing over 93,000 people.
The new apartment community will have an architecture that reflects a Mediterranean flare and will have 474 apartments for rent. The exclusive amenities planned for the construction include a modern fitness center with weight lifting facilities, a Click Café with free access to WiFi, resort-type pool equipped with poolside barbecue grills and five courtyards. Interior of of the apartments will feature large sized walk-in closets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, European style cabinetry and spacious floor plans and others.
The Archstone apartment community is located next to the south of the West University neighborhood, provides easy reach to Rice Village that hosts over 300 exclusive retail outlets. The village close to Rice University boasts a range of night-life spots, restaurants, retail outlets, and boutique shops.
According to Jay Curran, vice president of development for the region for Archstone, the proposed community is designed to fulfill the requirements of working professionals especially the five lush courtyards will provide the atmosphere of a resort.
