Steven Uphoff and family, the founder of Uppy’s Convenience Stores Chain and ExxonMobil fuel distributor, Southside Oil, has declared the official breaking ground of the proposed 55,000+ -ft2 “Uptown Alley,” a bowling and entertainment complex.
The proposed entertainment complex to be handled by the Trifecta Management Group and Uphoff family will have 40 bowling lanes, the “Uphoff Rotunda,” a wooden bar with provision to seat over 100 persons, conference rooms to hold corporate and private functions and two full-service restaurants. The entertainment center forms the first phase of a building plan of a commercial development project being developed by the Uphoff family over 14.5 acre area at the Chesterfield, VA. The facility scheduled to open in June 2012 will provide 100 full time and part time employment opportunities costing around $1.8 m to the company. It will also produce annual tax revenue of $153,000 to the County.
According to Steven M. Uphoff, Uphoff Ventures President & CEO, the proposed “Uptown Alley” will remain a safe destination spot for entertainment seekers such as young adults, families, business teams and others. He also believes that the new alley will bring in more economic benefits to the Chesterfield community.
