NCC to Construct Two Schools and a Daycare Center in Northern Finland

NCC, a Nordic region located construction and property development company, has declared that it will construct a daycare center and two schools for the Haukipuda Municipality in northern Finland.

NCC will execute the project under a lifecycle model whereby the company in addition to building the facilities will also provide maintenance for the buildings. The construction value of the contract is estimated around SEK 225 million.

NCC Construction Finland will construct the schools and the daycare center with around 13,000 m2 of floor space and will continue to provide full maintenance services for a period of 25 years. Pohjola Bank, which is financing for the lifecycle model construction will possess the properties and will subsequently rent them to the Haukipuda Municipality.

The total value of the lifecycle cost all through the 25 years of contract period is estimated to be around SEK 300 million.
