American Campus Communities Begins Student Housing Projects

American Campus Communities (ACC), an owner, manager and developer of student housing properties in the USA, has begun the construction of four new projects with an investment of around $156.6 million. The company’s four owned projects, which will have a total of 3,249 beds, are located close to the college campus.

As part of its American Campus Equity program, the company is constructing a 1,126-bedded housing on the Northern Arizona University campus. The project, valued around $60.6 million, will include a 576-bed of student town home community and a modern residence hall with 550 beds. The town home building will incorporate a private bedroom and bathroom design with extra amenities. The hall will include a community center that will include a theater, fitness center, business center and a social lounge. The building will also have a 4,360 sq. ft. shopping center.

At the campus of University of New Mexico, ACC is constructing a 1,027-bed modern hall, providing more privacy. It includes bathrooms within each unit. The project valued $39.4 million will include four individual buildings, each complete with kitchen, laundry, social lounge and study room facilities. A community center with a recreational area, business lounge and office area is included in the construction.

The U Club on Frey from ACC is an off-campus community center close to Kennesaw State University in Georgia. The project constructed at a cost of $22.5 million is a townhome unit with four-bedroom/four-and-half-bathroom three-story and will include 456 beds along with other regular features. Its U Club Townhomes on Marion Pugh is close to Texas A&M University in College Station. The project, valued at $34.1 million, will include two-story townhome units with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The construction measuring 7,560 sq. ft. will have 640 beds.
