Turner Construction Receives 2011 Construction Safety and Excellence Award

Turner Construction has received the 2011 Construction Safety and Excellence Award (CSEA) from the Associated General Contractors of America.

The company has secured a first position in the "Over Four Million Work Hours" category for the second time.

The CSEA presents the award to construction companies who surpass safety performance. The judges of the program look for employee participation, commitment of the management, safety training, identification and control of work site hazards and innovation in safety programs.

During the presentation, the company explained its new programs such as Nothing Hits the Ground, Ladders Last and Building L.I.F.E along with its other safety related programs that set safety standards at the company’s construction locations. The company also highlighted more than 30 training programs that focus on workplace safety.
