Balfour Beatty Construction has been chosen as Outstanding General Contractor for 2010 by the North Texas located American Subcontractor Association (ASA).
The award was presented during the 33rd Annual Awards Night in April. ASA has chosen the finalists based on several yardsticks such as quality and uniqueness of construction, intricacy of the project, community significance, safety record, and timely completion of the project.
Balfour Beatty was selected from among the eight finalists for maintaining the standards such as execution of well-organized and efficient projects, allegiance to safety, and sensible handling of suppliers of and subcontractors. Other criteria included reasonable and on-time payments to orders and other contracts and accurate and quick payment disbursals to suppliers and subcontractors.
ASA also presented the Outstanding Project of the year award to DFW Consulting Group and Beck Group Architects, project partners of Balfour Beatty Construction, under the category of $50 million worth projects. They were awarded for building the Gateway Church located in Southlake, Texas.
