Solar Rainbow, a company that designs and installs large scale solar systems for commercial clients, declared that it has purchased stocks in More Core Commercial Roofing, a Monmouth County, New Jersey located commercial roofing company.
The increased number of roof top solar installations in the state of New Jersey has improved the roofing business in the state. The state also has witnessed a strong growth in its solar renewable energy certificates-based (SRECs) solar incentive programs and completed around 8,500 solar installations in the Northeast segment. Also, the government on its part has set a target of generating around 20% of its total electricity from renewable energy sources by the year 2020.
More Core Construction, a company that specializes in residential constructions, has started More Core Commercial Roofing in 2010 exclusively to meet the growing demands for roofing business to assist solar installations. Solar Rainbow has recently worked in two solar projects such as 1 MW power production facility over 120,000 square foot roof area of Omni Holdings and a 1.3 MW rooftop solar installation project over 400,000 square foot roof area for JORDACHE Enterprises in association with More Core Commercial Roofing. Both the projects are located in South Plainfield, New Jersey.
Solar Rainbow is also actively looking for rooftops measuring a minimum of 50,000 square feet for rent to erect, own and manage solar installations under the power purchase agreement (PPA). The company is planning to re-roof such structures in association with More Core Commercial Roofing.
