Balfour Beatty Construction, along with its venture partner James A. Cummings has celebrated the construction finish of its latest 30,000-seat football stadium built in Boca Raton, Florida for Florida Atlantic University (FAU).
According to Larry Tribble, Loss Prevention Manager at Balfour Beatty Construction, the company has spent nearly 170,000 man-hours for the construction of the stadium with zero time loss due to accidents. He explained that the accomplishment reflects the safety initiatives of the company. When fully completed, the 160,000-square foot stadium will accommodate around 30,000 sports fans. The stadium construction will also boast 26 private suites, a Priority Club with a Cabana Bar over an area of 16,000-square-foot and an 8,000-square-foot Premier Club. The press boxes located at the upper level will have facilities such as public address systems, video screens, field lighting, house lighting and security. The upper level will also have facilities to house media professionals and producers for televised broadcasts.
The new stadium is anticipated to open after the opening of the new residential community, which is being constructed in the same campus.
