WPC Begins Senior Living Community Project in Melbourne

Winter Park Construction (WPC), a provider of general contracting, green building, construction management, and pre-construction services across the U.S., breaks ground for the construction of the luxury retirement community, Sonata at Melbourne.

This $14-million worth community will be located in Melbourne, Florida and it offers memory care assisted living, independent, and assisted living. Opening of the new facility is expected on January 2012.

The main building of Sonata at Melbourne, which is 161,000sq.ft, will house 127 luxury living places in several floors. The design of the living community features steel frame, on-site generator capacity, green building concepts, and masonry construction.

The new retirement and assisted living community will house resort style facilities that include wellness center, elegant dining room, library, exam room, pub, a movie theater, beauty parlor, and full spa services. In addition, it includes wellness programming that is significant for every senior and his family in today’s world. The other recreational amenities are exterior terraces with cabanas and resort-like setting with a heated pool.

Jeff Forrest, President of WPC, states that aging baby boomers are using the facilities for comfortable lifestyle and convenience.
