Allen Kibler, MACTEC Engineering and Consulting’s President, has declared that his company continues to remain as a member of the Westside Subway Extension project of PB Americas and the Regional Connector Project for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of AECOM/PB Americas.
MATEC will perform geotechnical studies such as studying of geophysics, drilling, and cone penetration tests, on site tests, tests for underground gas discovery and monitoring, installation of ground water well, and geotechnical lab testing. The company also will perform fire hazard study for the Santa Monica Fault and West Beverly Hills Lineament; evaluate seismic risks, examine the underground utility, data record search and on field verification of the present foundation, underground hazardous materials study and preparation of geotechnical statistical report for tunnels and stations.
The company has contracted two separate key accords to offer a range of geotechnical and environmental services for the Regional Connector light rail line and Westside Subway Extension heavy rail line projects. MACTEC will earn more than $12 million as fee for the projects.
